Requirement

This primary school like every educational establishment needed more space. Together with our senior designer they came up with this highly adaptable contemporary classroom. It fully complies with all aspects of legislation and is exceptionally energy efficient, spacious, bright, and functional.

Our Solution

Bespoke adaptable design: A unique building designed to maximise natural light.

Kitchenette: With a 1200 sink unit, 600 drawer unit with stainless steel taps and non-slip flooring.

Disabled access and toilet: Ramped access and French doors (1.8m wide x 2.2m high) with low disabled threshold allow easy access. A wheelchair-height toilet with grab bars; an emergency alarm and wheelchair-height sink and hand dryer.

High Performance Glazing: All frames are powder coated aluminium, RAL colour 7016, with Argon filled double glazing (U = 0.1)

Internal Partition: Bi-folding doors create the perfect moveable internal partition wall; highly sound proof, impact safe and light weight to open.

Integral Blinds: Integral blinds within the bifolds allow the flexibility to achieve complete privacy between the two areas or complete visibility, depending on requirement.

External Finish: This striking building is finished with kiln dried western red cedar cladding which is maintenance free.

Flooring: Oak effect laminate flooring is fitted throughout. This 10mm v groove laminate comes with a 25 year manufactures warranty.

Climate Control: 1 x Fujitsu condenser unit was installed by climate control experts, enabling highly energy efficient fine control of both humidity and temperature.

Fire Safety: 1x smoke detector per room), 1 x heat/smoke detector for the kitchen area plus a signage pack (fire exit, fluorescent stickers etc.)

Lighting and power: Our experienced electrician installed 12 energy efficient LED Lux panels (600mm x 600mm), 17 external LED down-lights and 10 double power sockets throughout the building, Part P certified.
